Early Pregnancy Class

This is a free, one evening class to help you have a healthy pregnancy. Important information includes fetal development, diet, exercise, warning signs, and comfort measures. The class includes a video and a question and answer time with a Certified Childbirth Educator. Class meets bi-monthly from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Preparation for Childbirth Class

This seven (7) week series covers all aspects of your preparation for birth. It includes labor and delivery, relaxation and breathing techniques, pain management, diagnostic testing, cesarean birth, infant and postpartum care. The series is taught by our Certified Childbirth Educators. Cost of the series is $63. Special arrangements for MSS families are available.

This class meets Monday or Tuesday evenings, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. To register, call Central Scheduling at 231-924-7778.

Childbirth Review Class

This one class reviews labor and delivery, as well as relaxation and breathing patterns for those who have taken childbirth preparation classes with a previous birth. They are held from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. This class is FREE. Scheduled by appointment.

Infant CPR Class

This bi-monthly class will help you know what to do if your infant should choke or stop breathing. It is taught by an AHA certified instructor. Free to all Family Birth Center clients; FREE for all others. Grandparents welcome. Held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Breastfeeding Class

Women desiring to breastfeed and new breastfeeding mothers will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this very informative class. This class is taught by our Gerber Memorial Hospital Lactation Consultant and offered monthly. This class is FREE. Held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
